Job Description/Specification:
Snoonu is looking for an Operations Excellence Head to lead process optimization, performance improvement, and operational efficiency across its grocery e-commerce dark store network in Qatar. The role will focus on improving service levels, reducing operational costs, standardizing best practices, and driving scalable processes across fast-paced, technology-enabled fulfillment operations.
The position combines operational excellence, process engineering, store layout optimization, technology integration, and cross-functional leadership. The successful candidate will use data-driven analysis and structured problem-solving to improve picking, packing, inventory management, order accuracy, and overall dark store performance.
About This Role
As Operations Excellence Head, you will identify operational gaps, establish performance standards, optimize workflows, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across multiple dark store locations. You will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Category, Technology, and other stakeholders to create efficient, scalable, and customer-focused operating models.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence & Performance
- Develop and monitor KPIs covering productivity, order processing time, fulfillment accuracy, customer satisfaction, defects, delays, and resource utilization.
- Identify operational bottlenecks through data analysis, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving.
- Lead initiatives to reduce processing times, operational waste, and overall fulfillment costs.
- Standardize best practices across dark stores to improve consistency and service quality.
- Drive continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives across end-to-end operational processes.
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on improving efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
Dark Store Layout & Workflow Optimization
- Design and optimize store layouts to improve picking, packing, replenishment, and order fulfillment efficiency.
- Develop inventory placement strategies based on product category, demand frequency, sales velocity, and picking patterns.
- Continuously review layouts and adjust them based on changes in demand, assortment, and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with Category and Supply Chain teams to align inventory positioning with fulfillment strategies.
Technology & Systems
- Partner with IT and systems teams to identify opportunities for automation and technology-enabled process improvement.
- Drive effective utilization of inventory and order management platforms, including Odoo, Action Centre, PPS, and related systems.
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that improve productivity, accuracy, scalability, and operational control.
- Support the integration of technology into operational workflows and continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in operations management, operational excellence, process improvement, or supply chain.
- Experience in grocery e-commerce, dark stores, FMCG, retail, warehousing, or fulfillment operations is highly preferred.
- Proven experience leading process optimization, cost reduction, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Experience managing or optimizing retail, warehouse, or e-commerce store layouts.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Strong understanding of KPIs, productivity measurement, and performance management.
- Experience with inventory, order management, ERP, WMS, or e-commerce fulfillment systems.
- Strong project management and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate operational data into practical business improvements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
