Job Description/Specification:
Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara is seeking a skilled Adventure Park Technician to ensure the safe operation, maintenance, and inspection of all adventure park attractions and equipment. This role is responsible for maintaining ropes courses, zip lines, climbing structures, safety systems, and technical equipment while ensuring full compliance with industry safety standards and delivering a safe, enjoyable guest experience.
About This Role
As an Adventure Park Technician, you will perform daily inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and technical support for all adventure park facilities. Working closely with operations teams, you will help maintain the highest safety standards, minimize equipment downtime, support emergency response procedures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of park operations.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Inspection & Maintenance
- Conduct daily pre-opening inspections of all adventure park attractions and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on ropes courses, zip lines, climbing walls, harnesses, helmets, belay systems, and related equipment.
- Inspect cables, platforms, anchors, pulleys, braking systems, structural components, and safety devices.
- Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective equipment as required.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new attractions and equipment.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all equipment complies with company safety policies, manufacturer recommendations, and industry regulations.
- Identify and report safety hazards, equipment defects, and maintenance requirements.
- Support annual inspections and third-party safety audits.
- Participate in technical rescue operations and emergency response procedures when required.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
Documentation & Inventory
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and equipment service documentation.
- Monitor workshop tools, spare parts, and maintenance inventory.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with operations teams to minimize guest disruption.
- Assist in maintaining equipment lifecycle and preventive maintenance schedules.
Training & Team Support
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs.
- Collaborate with operations staff to ensure attractions remain safe and fully operational.
- Perform additional technical duties assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Diploma or vocational qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field is preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in equipment maintenance, amusement parks, adventure parks, rope courses, climbing facilities, or similar recreational environments.
- Experience maintaining mechanical systems, safety equipment, or outdoor recreational attractions is an advantage.
