Job Description/Specification:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Offshore Logistics Coordinator to manage and coordinate marine and aviation logistics supporting offshore oil and gas operations. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted movement of personnel, equipment, materials, chemicals, and supplies between onshore and offshore facilities while maintaining full compliance with operational and safety standards.
About This Role
As an Offshore Logistics Coordinator, you will oversee day-to-day marine and aviation logistics, coordinate offshore supply operations, manage vessel and helicopter movements, prepare shipping documentation, and ensure operational readiness across offshore assets. You will work closely with offshore operations, supply chain, contractors, ports, heliports, and logistics providers to maintain continuous production support and high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Marine & Aviation Logistics
- Coordinate marine vessels and helicopter operations supporting offshore production and drilling activities.
- Plan daily logistics schedules to ensure uninterrupted offshore operations.
- Monitor vessel arrivals, departures, clearances, and helicopter flight schedules.
- Coordinate personnel transportation between offshore installations and onshore facilities.
- Liaise with Doha Heliport, Ras Laffan Port, and relevant stakeholders to support logistics operations.
Materials & Cargo Coordination
- Coordinate the delivery of equipment, spare parts, chemicals, fuel, and operational supplies to offshore facilities.
- Prepare cargo load lists, manifests, shipping documentation, and dangerous goods declarations.
- Supervise vessel loading and unloading operations.
- Verify cargo weights and ensure compliance with offshore lifting requirements.
- Maintain accurate cargo movement records and logistics statistics.
Contract & Operations Support
- Support the preparation of scopes of work for marine, aviation, and chemical service contracts.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Resolve contractor non-compliance issues when necessary.
- Coordinate safety standby vessels, crew schedules, maintenance activities, and operational readiness.
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct toolbox talks before loading and unloading operations.
- Ensure compliance with offshore lifting procedures and safety regulations.
- Brief passengers on vessel safety and emergency procedures before boarding.
- Monitor weather forecasts to support safe marine and aviation operations.
- Promote continuous adherence to company HSE standards.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare operational reports, shipping documents, manifests, and cost reports.
- Maintain records of fuel, water, consumables, and crew movements for audits.
- Compile logistics statistics and operational performance reports.
- Contribute to the development of logistics policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Operations, Maintenance, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in offshore logistics involving marine, aviation, or chemical logistics.
- Experience supporting offshore oil and gas operations.
- Practical experience handling materials, hazardous chemicals, offshore equipment, and logistics activities.
- Experience working within multinational and multicultural environments.
