Job Description/Specification:
Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli is looking for a professional and customer-focused F&B Hostess to join its Food & Beverage team in Doha. In this role, you will create a memorable first impression by welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. You will play an important role in delivering exceptional dining experiences that reflect Tivoli’s renowned standards of hospitality.
About This Role
As an F&B Hostess, you will serve as the first point of contact for restaurant guests, ensuring every visitor receives a warm welcome and attentive service. You will oversee reservations, manage waitlists, coordinate seating with the restaurant team, and provide guests with accurate information about menus, promotions, and waiting times. Your professionalism and attention to detail will help create a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Relations
- Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their assigned tables.
- Create a positive first impression through friendly and professional service.
- Assist guests with inquiries and provide information about restaurant services.
- Ensure VIP guests and special occasions receive personalized attention.
Reservations & Seating
- Manage restaurant reservations, waitlists, and table assignments.
- Coordinate seating arrangements with restaurant managers and service staff.
- Monitor table availability and turnover to maximize efficiency.
- Inform guests of estimated waiting times and reservation updates.
Customer Service
- Answer telephone calls professionally and respond to guest inquiries.
- Inform guests about menu specials, promotions, and restaurant offerings.
- Handle guest concerns, complaints, and special requests courteously, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Restaurant Operations
- Keep the hostess station clean, organized, and well-presented.
- Support the restaurant team in maintaining smooth service flow.
- Uphold company grooming, appearance, and service standards.
- Assist with daily operational tasks as required.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or customer service is preferred.
- Experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment is an advantage.
Language
- Fluency in English is required.
- Additional language skills are an advantage.
