Job Description/Specification:
We are seeking a Fleet Support & IoT Engineer to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of IoT solutions and fleet management systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing fleet performance, improving vehicle safety, enhancing customer experience, and integrating smart technologies across fleet and training operations.
This position is ideal for professionals with experience in IoT, telematics, connected vehicles, fleet management systems (FMS), and smart mobility technologies who are passionate about innovation and operational excellence.
About This Role
As a Fleet Support & IoT Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining IoT infrastructure, supporting fleet management platforms, analyzing operational data, and ensuring reliable system performance. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, IT, and external partners, you will help deliver technology-driven solutions that improve fleet efficiency, vehicle monitoring, preventive maintenance, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
IoT Solutions & System Integration
- Design, develop, and implement IoT solutions to improve fleet operations and vehicle safety.
- Install, configure, and maintain IoT hardware, software, sensors, and connected systems.
- Develop and integrate digital applications and custom software solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support the integration of IoT platforms with existing fleet management and IT infrastructure.
- Monitor emerging technologies and recommend innovative smart mobility solutions.
Fleet Management & Technical Support
- Maintain and support Fleet Management Systems (FMS) to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
- Manage vehicle tracking, telematics, maintenance scheduling, monitoring, and reporting systems.
- Support preventive maintenance programs for EV and CNG vehicle fleets.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with internal teams and external service providers for timely resolution.
- Ensure fleet technology systems operate efficiently with minimal downtime.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze IoT and fleet management data to identify operational trends and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor system performance and recommend optimization initiatives.
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management.
- Generate actionable insights to improve fleet utilization, safety, and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, IT, Customer Service, and Training teams.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate with suppliers, regulatory authorities, technology vendors, and service providers.
- Support training initiatives related to fleet technologies and IoT systems.
- Stay current with industry developments in IoT, telematics, EV, CNG, and connected mobility technologies.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in:

- Or a related technical discipline
Experience
- Experience implementing IoT solutions and connected technologies.
- Experience with Fleet Management Systems (FMS) and telematics platforms.
- Knowledge of fleet tracking, vehicle monitoring, and maintenance management systems.
- Experience integrating IoT hardware, sensors, connectivity platforms, and software solutions.
- Experience in software integration and data analysis is preferred.
- Knowledge of EV and CNG vehicle systems is an advantage.
