Job Description/Specification:
Radisson Hotel Group is seeking a Fire & Life Safety Officer to ensure the highest standards of fire prevention, life safety, and emergency preparedness across hotel operations. The successful candidate will maintain fire protection systems, conduct inspections, organize safety training and drills, and ensure full compliance with NFPA standards, local regulations, and hotel safety policies.
This role is ideal for safety professionals with strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems, emergency response procedures, and hotel safety operations.

About This Role
As a Fire & Life Safety Officer, you will be responsible for protecting guests, employees, visitors, and hotel assets by implementing comprehensive fire and life safety programs. You will inspect safety systems, conduct emergency drills, monitor compliance, identify hazards, and promote a proactive safety culture throughout the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
Fire & Life Safety Management
- Ensure full compliance with NFPA standards, local fire regulations, and hotel safety policies.
- Maintain overall fire and life safety throughout the hotel.
- Conduct routine safety inspections across all operational areas.
- Identify unsafe conditions, fire hazards, and unsafe work practices.
Fire Protection Systems
- Inspect, maintain, and monitor:
- Fire alarm systems
- Fire hydrants
- Hose reels
- Fire extinguishers
- Emergency devices
- Fire protection equipment
- Perform scheduled testing and preventive inspections.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and inspection logs.
Emergency Preparedness
- Ensure operational readiness of:
- Emergency lighting
- Standby generators
- Emergency exits
- Escape routes
- Emergency facilities
- Support emergency response planning and preparedness.
- Ensure appropriate fire safety arrangements during hotel events and functions.
Safety Inspections
- Inspect electrical installations, wiring, heaters, and equipment for fire risks.
- Verify compliance with safety regulations.
- Recommend corrective actions to eliminate hazards.
- Follow up until all identified issues are resolved.
Training & Safety Awareness
- Conduct:
- Fire drills
- Safety meetings
- Employee fire safety awareness programs
- Emergency response training
- Promote a strong hotel-wide safety culture.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain:
- Fire inspection reports
- Safety audit records
- Incident reports
- Maintenance documentation

- Report safety concerns to Heads of Department and the Chief Engineer.
- Monitor completion of corrective actions.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Fire Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
