About This Role
As a Public Area Cleaner (Housekeeping Attendant), you will ensure guest rooms, corridors, bathrooms, and hotel public areas remain clean, organized, and ready for guests. You will replenish amenities, perform deep-cleaning duties, protect guest privacy, and contribute to maintaining Hilton's renowned quality standards.
Your work directly impacts guest satisfaction and helps create a welcoming environment throughout the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Room Cleaning
- Enter guest rooms following hotel procedures.
- Prepare rooms for cleaning and servicing.
- Dust furniture and all room surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets and clean flooring.
- Make beds and arrange guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Clean wardrobes, mirrors, and furniture.
Bathroom Cleaning
- Thoroughly clean guest bathrooms.
- Sanitize sinks, toilets, bathtubs, showers, and fixtures.
- Replenish bathroom amenities and supplies.
- Ensure bathrooms meet Hilton cleanliness standards.
Housekeeping Operations
- Replenish guest room amenities according to operational standards.
- Deliver and collect guest loan items.
- Secure guest rooms after servicing.
- Protect guest privacy and confidentiality.
- Ensure all assigned rooms are completed on schedule.
Public Area Maintenance
- Clean corridors and common guest areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping service areas.
- Support housekeeping and laundry operations when required.
- Ensure hotel public spaces remain neat and welcoming.
Deep Cleaning
Perform scheduled rotation cleaning activities, including:
- Steam cleaning carpets
- Spring cleaning
- Deep cleaning assignments
- Special cleaning projects
- Floor maintenance
Guest Service
- Anticipate guest needs.
- Respond promptly to guest requests.
- Maintain positive guest relationships.
- Deliver courteous and professional service at all times.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow housekeeping procedures and hotel standards.
- Ensure guest room security during servicing.
- Report maintenance issues and safety concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards throughout assigned areas.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High School education is preferred.
Experience
- Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience is an advantage.
