Job Description/Specification:
A leading energy organization in Qatar is seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor – Camp Services to oversee accommodation camps and related services for workers residing within an industrial city. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of worker welfare, accommodation services, recreational facilities, commercial outlets, religious venues, and other camp-related services.
Reporting to the Head of Site Services, the Senior Supervisor will coordinate with project teams, EPC contractors, service providers, and camp operators to ensure that facilities and services comply with established QatarEnergy regulations, standards, specifications, and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulate and oversee camps and associated services provided to workers residing within the industrial city.
- Monitor living quarters, recreational facilities, events, commercial outlets, religious venues, and temporary site facilities.
- Oversee catering and non-catering services operating within accommodation sites.
- Monitor subcontractors working or residing within the industrial city and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
- Develop reliable systems to monitor and improve worker welfare and accommodation standards.
- Ensure recreational, sporting, and community activities are properly planned and delivered.
- Monitor living conditions and associated camp services to support worker satisfaction and welfare.
- Develop operational management and communication systems for camp services.
- Monitor compliance with QatarEnergy regulations, standards, specifications, guidelines, and other applicable requirements.
- Coordinate with end users and EPC contractors to ensure effective delivery of camp-related services.
- Identify potential issues affecting worker welfare and take appropriate action to prevent service disruptions or worker unrest.
- Prepare reports, technical studies, and management updates relating to camp operations and worker welfare.
- Apply strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills when dealing with camp-related operational matters.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience in large-scale camp management.
- Experience managing industrial city camps is preferred, particularly labor accommodation facilities.
- Strong understanding of camp operations, worker welfare, and accommodation services.
- Professional knowledge of HSSE requirements.
- Excellent command of English and Arabic.
- Valid Qatari driving license.
- Working knowledge of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong managerial and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong report-writing abilities and experience preparing technical studies.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, service providers, workers, and internal stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Commerce, or an equivalent discipline from a recognized university.
