Job Description/Specification:
QatarEnergy is seeking an experienced Medical Physician – Public Health & Wellness to represent the Healthcare Department (HCD) in the field of public health and employee wellness. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of public health and wellness services across QatarEnergy's healthcare clinics, ensuring high-quality preventive healthcare programs that support employee health, wellbeing, and organizational performance.
This role is ideal for physicians with experience in occupational health, industrial medicine, public health, or healthcare management who are passionate about preventive medicine and workplace health promotion.
About This Role
As a Medical Physician – Public Health & Wellness, you will lead public health initiatives, develop employee wellness programs, monitor healthcare service delivery, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards across QatarEnergy clinics. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to improve workforce health through education, prevention, and evidence-based healthcare practices.
Key Responsibilities
Public Health & Wellness
- Represent the Healthcare Department (HCD) in all public health and wellness initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and oversee employee health promotion and wellness programs.
- Promote preventive healthcare practices across QatarEnergy facilities.
- Monitor public health outcomes and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Clinical Leadership
- Oversee the delivery of public health and wellness services across all HCD clinics.
- Provide medical consultation and clinical support for employee health programs.
- Ensure healthcare services comply with organizational policies and medical standards.
- Support healthcare teams in delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
Occupational Health
- Support occupational health initiatives aimed at maintaining a healthy workforce.
- Participate in workplace health risk assessments and preventive healthcare programs.
- Promote health education and disease prevention strategies.
- Assist in developing policies related to employee health and occupational wellbeing.
Healthcare Management
- Coordinate healthcare services across multiple clinic locations.
- Monitor service quality, performance indicators, and patient outcomes.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to enhance service delivery.
Emergency & Clinical Support
- Provide emergency medical support when required.
- Maintain Immediate Life Support (ILS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) competency.
- Ensure readiness for medical emergencies within workplace healthcare facilities.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Medical Degree (MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification medical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Medical Physician.
- Experience in occupational health, industrial medicine, or public health is preferred.
