Job Description/Specification:
Al Abdulghani Motors is seeking an experienced Vehicle Inspector & Repair Estimator to evaluate used vehicles and determine their condition, market value, and repair requirements before purchase. The role is responsible for conducting comprehensive vehicle inspections, estimating repair costs, and preparing detailed reports that support informed purchasing decisions.

About This Role
As a Vehicle Inspector & Repair Estimator, you will inspect mechanical, electrical, structural, and safety components of vehicles, perform road tests, assess repair requirements, and prepare accurate cost estimates. Working closely with technicians and the Purchase Department, you will ensure vehicle evaluations are accurate, compliant with industry standards, and aligned with the company's procurement objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Inspection
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of used vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, structural, interior, exterior, and safety systems.
- Perform visual inspections, road tests, and functional checks to assess vehicle condition.
- Capture photographs and supporting evidence to assist in vehicle valuation.
- Identify defects, accident damage, wear and tear, and compliance issues.
Repair Estimation & Valuation
- Assess repair and maintenance requirements based on inspection findings.
- Prepare accurate estimates for spare parts, labor, and repair costs.
- Evaluate vehicle condition to support pricing and purchasing decisions.
- Recommend repair priorities and overall vehicle suitability for acquisition.
Technical Assessment
- Collaborate with automotive technicians and workshop teams to validate repair requirements.
- Verify diagnostic findings and ensure repair estimates are technically accurate.
- Maintain knowledge of automotive repair methods, parts pricing, and manufacturer standards.
- Ensure all assessments comply with company procedures and industry regulations.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, repair recommendations, and cost estimates for the Purchase Department.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repair estimates, and vehicle evaluations.
- Ensure all documentation is completed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support audit and compliance requirements through accurate record keeping.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in vehicle inspection, automotive diagnostics, repair estimation, or workshop operations.
- Experience in used vehicle evaluation or automotive service environments is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, structural, and safety systems.
- Experience conducting road tests and vehicle performance evaluations.
- Ability to prepare accurate repair cost estimates and technical reports.
- Familiarity with automotive regulations, inspection standards, and repair procedures.
- Valid Qatar or GCC Driving License is mandatory.
