Job Description/Specification:
Al Abdulghani Motors is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair air conditioning and HVAC systems across its facilities. The successful candidate will ensure the reliable and efficient operation of cooling, ventilation, and temperature control systems while maintaining compliance with company maintenance procedures and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
This role is ideal for experienced HVAC professionals with strong technical expertise in preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of commercial air conditioning systems.
About This Role
As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance of air conditioning equipment, responding to breakdowns, inspecting HVAC systems, and ensuring optimal system performance. You will also support energy efficiency initiatives, maintain accurate service records, and coordinate with maintenance teams during major repairs and shutdowns.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC Installation & Maintenance
- Install, repair, and replace air conditioning units and HVAC equipment.
- Perform scheduled Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) on all HVAC systems.
- Maintain ventilation, cooling, and temperature control equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Support emergency maintenance activities whenever required.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Respond promptly to HVAC breakdowns and service requests.
- Diagnose faults in air conditioning systems and perform corrective repairs.
- Inspect compressors, motors, thermostats, filters, refrigerant levels, and electrical connections.
- Identify defective components and recommend replacement where necessary.
System Performance & Energy Efficiency
- Ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and meet required performance standards.
- Monitor temperature control systems and ventilation equipment.
- Support energy-saving initiatives by optimizing HVAC system performance.
- Report recurring faults and recommend long-term maintenance solutions.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies at all times.
- Use tools and equipment safely and maintain them in good working condition.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance teams during major maintenance work.
Documentation & Inventory
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and service logs.
- Report material requirements and spare parts shortages to the supervisor.
- Support maintenance planning through proper documentation and reporting.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High School Certificate or Diploma.
- Government-recognized Certificate in Air Conditioning, HVAC, Electrical Trade, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC or air conditioning maintenance.
- Experience maintaining commercial or industrial HVAC systems is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of air conditioning and HVAC systems.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Good troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
- Understanding of refrigeration principles and HVAC controls.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and maintenance procedures.
