JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha is looking for a passionate and service-oriented Bartender to deliver exceptional beverage experiences in a luxury hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will prepare and serve premium beverages, maintain bar operations, and provide outstanding guest service while upholding Marriott International's world-class hospitality standards.
About This Role
As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing cocktails, serving wines and spirits, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar, processing guest transactions, and ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable dining and beverage experience. You will contribute to the hotel's commitment to excellence by delivering professional, personalized, and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation & Service
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and brand specifications.
- Measure ingredients accurately using approved measuring systems.
- Open, present, and serve wine and champagne professionally.
- Prepare fresh garnishes and ensure high-quality drink presentation.
- Recommend beverages and provide guests with product knowledge.
Bar Operations
- Set up, organize, and maintain the cleanliness of the bar and workstations.
- Replenish beverages, ice, glassware, paper supplies, and bar inventory.
- Transport supplies to the bar and monitor stock levels.
- Wash and sanitize glassware and bar equipment.
- Secure alcoholic beverages, storage areas, and cash at the end of each shift.
Cash Handling
- Process payments using approved payment methods.
- Balance cash float and prepare end-of-shift cashier reports.
- Resolve payment discrepancies accurately.
- Secure receipts and complete closing financial procedures.
Guest Experience
- Welcome guests warmly and deliver personalized service.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
- Build positive guest relationships through professional communication.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns courteously and efficiently.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow Marriott International policies and operational procedures.
- Comply with food safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Report accidents, safety hazards, and maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a bartender or in a similar Food & Beverage role.
- Previous luxury hotel or upscale restaurant experience is an advantage.
