Job Description/Specification:
Le Méridien Doha, part of Marriott International, is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Bartender to create exceptional beverage experiences for guests. The successful candidate will prepare and serve beverages according to brand standards while delivering outstanding customer service in a vibrant hospitality environment.
About This Role
As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining bar operations, processing guest transactions, and ensuring the bar remains fully stocked, clean, and compliant with Marriott's quality and safety standards. You will play an important role in creating memorable guest experiences through excellent service and beverage expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation & Service
- Prepare and serve beverages according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Measure ingredients accurately using approved measuring systems.
- Open, present, and serve wine and champagne professionally.
- Prepare fresh garnishes and ensure beverage quality at all times.
- Recommend drinks and respond to guest preferences with exceptional service.
Bar Operations
- Set up and maintain the bar area before, during, and after service.
- Stock beverages, ice, glassware, paper supplies, and bar essentials.
- Transport supplies to bar stations and monitor inventory levels.
- Wash and sanitize glassware, bar equipment, and workstations.
- Secure alcoholic beverages, storage cabinets, and inventory after service.
Cash Handling
- Process guest payments using approved payment methods.
- Balance cash float and complete cashier reports at the end of each shift.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Secure daily receipts and cash according to company procedures.
Guest Service
- Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service.
- Anticipate guest needs and deliver prompt, courteous assistance.
- Build positive guest relationships to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Handle guest inquiries and requests professionally.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow Marriott policies, food safety regulations, and alcohol service guidelines.
- Report safety hazards, accidents, and maintenance concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards throughout the bar.
- Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality where required.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a bartender or in a related Food & Beverage role.
- Previous experience in hotels, restaurants, bars, or luxury hospitality is preferred.
