Job Description/Specification:


We are seeking a skilled Fiberglass Technician to join our production and maintenance team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, assembling, and finishing fiberglass products while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship. This role requires practical experience with fiberglass fabrication, marine maintenance tools, and composite repair techniques.

About This Role

As a Fiberglass Technician, you will support the production of fiberglass components by preparing molds, laminating composite materials, repairing damaged fiberglass structures, and applying finishing coats. You will work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Fiberglass Fabrication

  • Prepare and laminate fiberglass molds and composite surfaces.
  • Assemble fiberglass components according to technical specifications.
  • Manufacture and repair fiberglass products, including marine components and other composite structures.
  • Cut fiberglass materials and prepare them for fabrication.
  • Mix catalysts with resin and apply fiberglass materials accurately.

Repair & Finishing

  • Inspect fiberglass products throughout the production process.
  • Repair damaged fiberglass structures and components.
  • Apply paint, wax, gel coats, and protective finishes.
  • Ensure finished products meet quality and appearance standards.

Equipment & Maintenance

  • Operate and maintain fiberglass fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is clean, functional, and safely operated.
  • Follow preventive maintenance procedures for workshop tools.

Quality & Safety

  • Perform quality inspections during fabrication and repair activities.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Team Collaboration

  • Work effectively with supervisors and production teams.
  • Coordinate with vendors and other technical personnel when required.
  • Communicate work progress and report technical issues.
  • Accept constructive feedback and continuously improve technical skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Fiberglass Technician is preferred.
  • Experience in fiberglass fabrication, repair, or marine maintenance.
  • High school education or technical/vocational qualification is an advantage.
