An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Operational Excellence & Planning Advisor to drive operational performance, fleet optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. This strategic role is responsible for coordinating operational excellence programs, improving resource utilization, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting executive management with performance analysis and business enhancement recommendations.
This position is ideal for senior professionals with extensive experience in operational planning, business performance management, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement within complex industrial, marine, logistics, energy, or engineering environments.
About This Role
As an Operational Excellence & Planning Advisor, you will evaluate operational performance, coordinate strategic reporting, recommend process improvements, and support business leaders in achieving operational efficiency and organizational objectives. You will analyze operational data, monitor KPIs, facilitate performance reviews, and collaborate with multiple departments to drive sustainable business improvements while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Lead and coordinate Operational Excellence initiatives across the organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Drive fleet optimization strategies and cost reduction initiatives.
- Recommend innovative solutions to improve operational performance and business outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
Performance Planning & Reporting
- Coordinate the preparation and review of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual operational performance reports.
- Analyze operational KPIs and business performance metrics.
- Develop recommendations for performance enhancement and operational improvements.
- Support management with data-driven insights and strategic planning.
- Ensure reporting accuracy and timely submission of executive reports.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with multiple departments to align operational objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on operational performance matters.
- Facilitate communication between business units to support organizational goals.
- Mediate conflicts between departments and stakeholders when required.
- Handle confidential business information with discretion and professionalism.
Strategic Improvement
- Identify operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support business transformation and change management initiatives.
- Participate in strategic planning activities and organizational improvement projects.
- Promote a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Engineering, Marine Studies, or a related discipline.
- MBA, Master's Degree, or PhD is highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Operational Planning, Operational Excellence, or Business Performance Management.
- Experience working in multinational and multidisciplinary environments.
- Strong understanding of operational planning challenges and business improvement methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Proven experience engaging senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
