The Ritz-Carlton Doha is seeking a passionate and creative Mixologist to craft exceptional beverage experiences while delivering world-class luxury hospitality. The successful candidate will prepare premium cocktails and beverages, provide personalized guest service, stay current with beverage trends, and create memorable bar experiences that reflect the renowned Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards.
About This Role
As a Mixologist, you will do much more than prepare drinks—you will create unforgettable guest experiences through exceptional service, product knowledge, and attention to detail. You will manage bar operations, recommend beverages, engage with guests, maintain high quality standards, and contribute to the overall success of the hotel's Food & Beverage operations.
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation & Bar Operations
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel standards.
- Create innovative cocktails and recommend beverage pairings based on guest preferences.
- Ensure beverages are prepared consistently with high quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the bar area throughout each shift.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure bar supplies are replenished when required.
Guest Experience
- Deliver personalized and memorable service to every guest.
- Recommend wines, spirits, cocktails, and signature beverages based on guest preferences.
- Answer guest questions regarding beverage origins, vintages, flavors, and preparation methods.
- Build lasting relationships with guests through professional and engaging service.
- Handle guest requests, concerns, and special beverage requirements promptly.
Beverage Knowledge & Innovation
- Stay updated with emerging beverage trends, premium spirits, wines, and local offerings.
- Introduce creative cocktail concepts and seasonal beverage menus.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and specialty beverages.
- Promote signature beverages and premium products to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
Operational Excellence
- Process cash and beverage transactions accurately.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Support daily opening and closing procedures for bar operations.
- Follow Marriott operational policies and quality standards.
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with restaurant, kitchen, and Food & Beverage teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Support the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of new team members.
- Share beverage knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a bartender, mixologist, or in a similar Food & Beverage role.
- Previous luxury hotel or fine dining experience is an advantage.
- No supervisory experience required.
