Job Description/Specification:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data & AI Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of enterprise data and AI architecture for a leading organization in Qatar. The successful candidate will define scalable data platforms, enterprise data models, AI-ready architectures, and governance frameworks that support digital transformation and data-driven decision-making.
This role requires extensive expertise in enterprise data architecture, modern data platforms, AI ecosystems, and banking technology, with the ability to collaborate across business, technology, risk, compliance, and governance teams.
About This Role
As the Senior Data & AI Architect, you will be responsible for designing enterprise-wide data architecture strategies, reviewing technical solutions, establishing governance standards, and ensuring that data platforms support advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and regulatory compliance.
You will work closely with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, data engineers, AI specialists, and governance teams to build secure, scalable, and future-ready data ecosystems across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Architecture
- Design and maintain enterprise data architecture aligned with business and digital transformation strategies.
- Develop scalable data models, integration frameworks, and architecture standards.
- Review and approve solution architectures for enterprise data platforms.
- Ensure consistency across enterprise-wide data architecture initiatives.
Data Platform & Engineering
- Design and govern enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, and analytics platforms.
- Define architecture for ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data integration.
- Support the implementation of scalable, high-performance data engineering solutions.
- Ensure data platforms support reporting, business intelligence, analytics, and AI initiatives.
Data Governance & Quality
- Define and implement enterprise data governance frameworks.
- Establish standards for data quality, metadata management, master data, and data lineage.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise policies and regulatory data management requirements.
- Support governance reviews and architecture compliance assessments.
AI & Advanced Analytics
- Design data architectures that enable AI and machine learning initiatives.
- Define AI data requirements and enterprise AI governance standards.
- Promote Responsible AI principles and ethical data management.
- Support AI platform integration and analytics ecosystem development.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business leaders, enterprise architects, technology teams, compliance, risk, and governance functions.
- Provide architectural guidance for enterprise transformation programs.
- Present architecture recommendations and technical roadmaps to senior management.
- Support strategic decision-making through enterprise architecture governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in:
