Fleet Business Development Managers play a key role in growing commercial vehicle businesses by connecting automotive solutions with corporate, government, and institutional customers. This role combines B2B sales, fleet operations knowledge, account management, and financial planning to deliver profitable fleet solutions in Qatar’s competitive automotive market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute fleet sales strategies to increase vehicle volume, revenue, and profitability across corporate and institutional segments.
  • Identify new business opportunities with corporate companies, government entities, leasing firms, and large commercial customers.
  • Manage the complete B2B sales cycle, from lead generation and customer discussions to negotiations and contract closure.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and act as the main contact for strategic fleet accounts.
  • Manage customer retention strategies by ensuring service quality, delivery commitments, and aftersales support.
  • Lead RFQs, RFPs, and government tender processes, including commercial proposals, pricing structures, and contract requirements.
  • Monitor fleet performance, revenue forecasts, margins, and business development pipelines.
  • Manage vehicle lifecycle activities including acquisition planning, replacement cycles, buyback strategies, and remarketing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with OEM partners, finance teams, leasing companies, and aftersales departments to deliver complete fleet solutions.
  • Use CRM systems, reporting tools, and market analysis to support data-driven business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive Management, or a related field. An MBA is an advantage.
  • 5–10 years of experience in fleet automotive, B2B sales, corporate sales, or commercial vehicle industries.
  • Strong experience managing large customer accounts and complex sales processes.
  • Understanding of fleet operations, vehicle lifecycle management, and commercial vehicle requirements.
  • Experience handling tenders, pricing negotiations, leasing solutions, and customer contracts.
  • Strong financial understanding including revenue forecasting, profitability, and cost analysis.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships at senior levels.
  • Knowledge of the Qatar automotive, leasing, and procurement market is highly valuable.
  • Fluency in English is required, while Arabic language skills can be an advantage.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

  • Opportunity to influence fleet growth and commercial strategy in the automotive sector.
  • Exposure to major corporate and government customers in Qatar.
  • A role combining sales leadership, operational knowledge, and business development.
  • Opportunity to build long-term client partnerships and manage high-value accounts.
  • Potential career progression into senior fleet, commercial, or mobility leadership roles.

Who Should Apply?

This opportunity is ideal for professionals who understand both the commercial and operational sides of fleet management. The strongest candidates are those who have experience in automotive sales, rental fleets, leasing, mobility solutions, or commercial vehicle operations.

Successful candidates are typically relationship-focused, commercially driven, and comfortable managing long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders. Professionals who enjoy combining customer engagement with data analysis, negotiation, and strategic planning will find this role highly suitable.

Candidates with Qatar market experience, existing corporate networks, and knowledge of fleet procurement processes will have an advantage.

Skills That Will Help You Succeed
