Job Description/Specification:
Qatar Airways Group is seeking an experienced Network & Security Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and support its enterprise network infrastructure and security services.
The role focuses on Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Network Access Control (NAC), firewall technologies, Cisco DNA Center, Software-Defined Access (SDA), VPNs, and identity-based security. The successful candidate will help ensure Qatar Airways' network infrastructure remains secure, resilient, highly available, and compliant with Corporate IT standards.
Key Responsibilities
Network Security & Cisco ISE
- Design, implement, integrate, optimize, and support enterprise Cisco ISE and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
- Manage identity-based network access using RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, and guest access technologies.
- Develop context-aware access policies using endpoint profiling, device intelligence, and dynamic authorization.
- Manage authentication, endpoint compliance, posture validation, and automated remediation capabilities.
- Maintain secure and highly available network infrastructure services.
Zero Trust & Network Segmentation
- Implement identity-based access and segmentation using RBAC, Security Group Tags (SGTs), and Cisco TrustSec.
- Support Zero Trust and Software-Defined Access (SDA) architectures.
- Integrate and manage Cisco DNA Center, Cisco ISE, and wireless infrastructure.
- Support automated policy enforcement, micro-segmentation, and secure enterprise mobility.
Firewall & VPN Management
- Implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise firewall infrastructure.
- Manage firewall security policies, NAT, network segmentation, and access controls.
- Support remote-access and site-to-site VPN solutions.
- Conduct firewall policy reviews, security assessments, and rule optimization.
- Implement firewall changes in accordance with security and compliance requirements.
Operations & Troubleshooting
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of network faults and service disruptions.
- Resolve network performance and security issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support 24x7 Network & Security Infrastructure operations.
- Respond to incidents, problems, and infrastructure service requests.
- Perform system administration and proactive infrastructure maintenance.
IT Service Management
- Ensure network services comply with established ITIL processes and procedures.
- Maintain appropriate technical documentation and operational standards.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, and business teams.
- Support continuous improvements to network reliability, security, stability, and availability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Communications, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise network and security infrastructure.
- Advanced practical experience with Cisco ISE and NAC technologies.
- Strong understanding of enterprise firewall and VPN technologies.
- Experience with identity-based access control and network segmentation.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust, Cisco TrustSec, and Software-Defined Access environments.
- Experience supporting high-availability enterprise network environments.
