Job Description/Specification:
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Loss Prevention & Security Officer to support the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel assets at its West Bay property in Doha.
The role involves property patrols, CCTV monitoring, emergency response, access control, safety inspections, incident investigations, and maintaining a secure luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Security & Loss Prevention
- Patrol hotel premises and monitor designated security areas.
- Secure rooms and assist guests with room access when required.
- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access-control systems.
- Control, authorize, and document access to restricted and secured areas.
- Conduct key-control audits and routine security checks.
- Identify and resolve potential safety and security hazards.
Emergency Response & Safety
- Respond promptly to accidents, disturbances, emergencies, and security incidents.
- Contact emergency medical services and provide first aid/CPR where required.
- Participate in emergency response drills and daily safety inspections.
- Assist guests and employees during emergency situations.
- Follow established emergency codes, safety procedures, and escalation protocols.
Incident Management
- Conduct investigations and interviews relating to security incidents.
- Gather relevant information and prepare accurate incident reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of security reports and documentation.
- Manage disturbances and complaints professionally according to company procedures.
- Escort unauthorized or unwelcome individuals from the property when necessary.
Team & Guest Support
- Assist management with training, coaching, and motivating employees.
- Maintain professional communication with guests and colleagues.
- Support the team in maintaining Marriott and St. Regis quality standards.
- Protect company assets and confidential information.
- Provide professional guest assistance while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of related security, loss prevention, or safety experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Previous hotel or luxury hospitality security experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of CCTV monitoring, access control, emergency response, and incident reporting.
- Strong observation and problem-solving abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during emergencies.
Physical Requirements
Candidates should be able to stand and patrol for extended periods, respond quickly to incidents, navigate stairs and confined areas, and perform physical duties associated with hotel security operations.
