Job Description/Specification:
Qatar Airways Group is seeking an experienced professional to manage and coordinate a portfolio of complex and high-value projects across its Digital function.
Working closely with end users, Product Managers, Product Owners, senior leadership, and other stakeholders, the role will ensure digital initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.
The position also focuses on improving operational and investment efficiency through stronger governance, performance analytics, resource optimization, and measurement of business value.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Project Management
- Coordinate the planning, direction, and implementation of multiple digital projects and strategic initiatives.
- Manage projects throughout their lifecycle, from development and implementation through value realization.
- Ensure projects remain aligned with the overall Digital strategy and organizational priorities.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, and other departments to resolve dependencies and delivery roadblocks.
- Apply Agile frameworks and Scrum principles to support effective project delivery.
Budget & Investment Management
- Develop and control project budgets and operating plans.
- Prepare project funding proposals and sustainable funding plans.
- Monitor project expenditure and maximize return on digital investments.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline ways of working.
- Support management in evaluating financial benefits and measurable business outcomes.
- Apply understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) principles when assessing project performance.
Performance & Reporting
- Prepare accurate monthly reports covering project milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies, and business value.
- Provide performance insights and recommendations to senior management, including the SVP Digital.
- Publish regular milestone and value-realization updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze project and operational data to support informed management decisions.
- Monitor progress against strategic priorities and expected business outcomes.
Governance & Resource Coordination
- Coordinate and prioritize resources across multiple digital projects.
- Manage project interdependencies, shared components, risks, and delivery constraints.
- Maintain effective project governance and documentation standards.
- Ensure flexibility to modify, accelerate, redefine, or terminate projects when business priorities change.
Project Documentation
- Maintain detailed project plans, Gantt charts, project briefs, specifications, change requests, and resource updates.
- Track project performance against approved budgets and delivery schedules.
- Ensure stakeholders remain informed of changing requirements, priorities, risks, and expected outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience.
- Strong experience in project, portfolio, or digital transformation management.
- Team leadership and people management experience.
- Practical knowledge of budgeting and P&L statements.
- Experience measuring project benefits and business outcomes.
- Strong analytical, data reporting, and management reporting capabilities.
- Practical knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent command of English.
