Job Description/Specification:
Raytheon is seeking an experienced Power Generation Technician to support the Qatar Patriot Sustainment Program. The program provides Patriot Air Defense maintenance, logistics, refurbishment, and training support in Qatar.
The successful candidate will perform depot-level maintenance, refurbishment, troubleshooting, and repair of Lechmotoren 15kW, 30kW, and 150kW diesel-powered generators used with the Patriot Air Defense System.
Key Responsibilities
Generator Maintenance & Refurbishment
- Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, modification, refurbishment, and reassembly of diesel-powered generator equipment.
- Troubleshoot and isolate electrical and mechanical faults on Lechmotoren power generation systems.
- Perform depot-level repairs in accordance with applicable technical manuals and procedures.
- Conduct maintenance inspections and identify required repairs and replacement parts.
- Functionally test generators following repairs to verify compliance with performance and design specifications.
- Test generators under varying load conditions and evaluate operating performance.
Patriot Sustainment Support
- Provide oversight for Organizational and Direct Support repairs in accordance with U.S. Army 10/20/30 PMCS maintenance standards.
- Follow applicable Patriot technical manuals, drawings, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and process parts requisitions.
- Support setup and preparation of the in-country refurbishment work location.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in serviceable condition.
- Support refurbishment, modification, and system integration activities as required.
Training & Safety
- Provide technical guidance and training to local maintenance personnel when required.
- Work effectively with Raytheon leadership, customers, teammates, and suppliers.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform additional technical and maintenance duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of the U.S. Army Power Generation Equipment Repairer (MOS 52D) course; OR
- Graduate of a recognized technical/manufacturer training program in diesel power generation; OR
- Equivalent relevant OJT and professional experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience troubleshooting, fault isolating, and repairing 15kW, 30kW, or 150kW diesel-powered generators.
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
- Experience using common hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and refurbishment equipment.
- Ability to conduct generator load and functional testing.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance records and parts requisitioning.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to system-access requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Middle East customer experience.
- Lechmotoren generator maintenance or repair training.
- Experience with Lechmotoren 15kW, 30kW, or 150kW generators.
- Previous experience supporting Patriot FMS programs.
- Knowledge of Patriot technical manuals, drawings, schematics, and refurbishment processes.
- Previous experience living and working overseas.
- Strong customer and technical team communication skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of technical training and related professional experience.

Raytheon's Qatar Patriot Sustainment Program supports a Foreign Military Sales program through maintenance, logistics, technical expertise, and training for Patriot Air Defense systems. The position is based onsite in Qatar and directly supports the program's equipment readiness and sustainment requirements.
