Job Description/Specification:
We are seeking a qualified and customer-focused Pharmacist to join a retail pharmacy team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing professional pharmaceutical advice, and supporting smooth daily pharmacy operations while maintaining compliance with Qatar healthcare and pharmacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Pharmacy Operations
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and responsibly.
- Review prescriptions and ensure appropriate medication dispensing.
- Maintain proper storage, handling, and organization of pharmaceutical products.
- Support inventory monitoring and general day-to-day pharmacy operations.
Patient & Customer Service
- Provide professional guidance regarding medications, dosage, usage, and precautions.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and helpful manner.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service and patient care.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling patient and prescription information.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure pharmacy activities comply with applicable Qatar regulations and professional standards.
- Follow established procedures for medication dispensing and documentation.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout all pharmacy transactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Pharmacist License in Qatar is mandatory.
- Previous experience working in a retail pharmacy.
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
- Strong knowledge of medications and pharmacy practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and professional responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy retail pharmacy environment.
Preferred Candidate
The employer has indicated a preference for native Arabic-speaking candidates, preferably male. Applicants should also be fluent in English and possess a valid Qatar pharmacist licence.
