Job Description/Specification:
Airswift is recruiting a Site Supervisor – Dredging for a major Oil & Gas operator in Qatar. The role will supervise dredging, reclamation, and marine construction activities while ensuring work meets project specifications, HSE requirements, quality standards, and agreed schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily dredging, reclamation, breakwater, quay wall, revetment, jetty, and marine works.
- Monitor contractors, subcontractors, and site workforce performance.
- Coordinate dredgers, barges, tugs, survey vessels, and other marine equipment.
- Ensure construction follows approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Monitor dredging depths, excavation quantities, disposal activities, reclamation levels, and production rates.
- Track site progress and identify construction constraints or delays.
- Ensure strict compliance with project HSE policies and procedures.
- Monitor implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with surveyors for hydrographic and topographic surveys.
- Verify completed dredging quantities and volumes.
- Support punch-list preparation and closure.
- Prepare daily reports covering manpower, equipment, production, weather, and progress.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in dredging, marine works, reclamation, or port construction.
- Strong knowledge of marine construction methods and dredging operations.
- Experience supervising contractors and marine equipment.
- Understanding of HSE, quality control, ITPs, and construction documentation.
- Strong site coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
