Job Description/Specification:
Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner – Cargo to provide strategic financial support to senior and executive management. The role will connect Finance and Cargo operations through financial planning, performance analysis, business cases, profitability improvement, and data-driven recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the key Finance business partner for Cargo senior management.
- Develop strategic financial plans, forecasts, and budgets.
- Analyze financial performance, KPIs, revenue, costs, and profitability.
- Provide recommendations to improve resource allocation and business performance.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and management presentations.
- Conduct investment analysis including ROI, IRR, NPV, EVA, payback, and sensitivity analysis.
- Develop business cases for strategic projects and investment decisions.
- Identify financial risks, opportunities, and potential profitability improvements.
- Integrate market intelligence into financial and strategic planning.
- Support the CFO and senior management with financial planning and investment priorities.
- Lead and develop finance teams while promoting collaboration across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 5 years in airline management, including people management.
- Finance Business Partner experience supporting Commercial or Revenue Management functions, preferably within a major airline.
- Strong understanding of airline operations and route profitability.
- Excellent financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L knowledge.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent command of English.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-management capabilities.
- Interest in digitalization, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
