Job Description/Specification:
Mowasalat (Karwa) is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Analyst to support the continuous improvement of bus fleet operations through technical analysis, data-driven decision-making, and operational performance monitoring. This role is responsible for analyzing maintenance and operational data, identifying trends, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending solutions that improve fleet reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, analytical thinking, and experience working with vehicle maintenance systems, operational data, and technical reporting within the transportation, automotive, or fleet management industry.
About This Role
As a Technical Analyst, you will evaluate technical and operational data, investigate recurring fleet issues, develop analytical reports, and collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to enhance fleet performance. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives, develop technical documentation, and provide training to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
🔍 Technical Analysis & Performance Monitoring
- Analyze maintenance records, operational data, telematics, and customer feedback to identify performance trends.
- Develop predictive models and analytical frameworks to support operational decision-making.
- Identify recurring technical issues and recommend performance improvement initiatives.
- Monitor fleet reliability, efficiency, and operational KPIs.
🛠️ Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
- Investigate complex technical and operational issues affecting fleet performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring failures and operational disruptions.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability and safety.
- Validate the effectiveness of implemented technical solutions.
📊 Reporting, Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare technical reports highlighting findings, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and audit-ready records.
- Develop technical guidelines, procedures, and operational manuals.
- Ensure compliance with Mowasalat standards, OEM recommendations, and regulatory requirements.
🤝 Stakeholder Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams, drivers, and service center personnel.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders on technical projects.
- Research emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Develop technical training materials and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical analysis, fleet engineering, maintenance analysis, or a related technical role.
- At least 1 year of experience in technical troubleshooting, operational analysis, or problem-solving.
- Experience within public transportation, automotive, fleet management, heavy vehicles, or bus operations is preferred.
