Job Description/Specification:
A leading Oil & Gas company in Qatar is urgently hiring Lifting Supervisors (QatarEnergy Approved) to support lifting operations on major industrial projects. The successful candidates will supervise safe lifting activities, ensure compliance with QatarEnergy standards, and coordinate lifting operations in accordance with approved lifting plans and HSE requirements.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced lifting professionals with a strong background in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, or Heavy Industrial Projects who are available for immediate joining.
About This Role
As a Lifting Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day lifting operations, ensure all lifting activities are executed safely, supervise lifting crews, and verify compliance with QatarEnergy procedures, lifting regulations, and project safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
🏗️ Lifting Operations
- Supervise and coordinate daily lifting activities on site.
- Ensure lifting operations are carried out according to approved lifting plans and procedures.
- Monitor crane operations, lifting equipment, and lifting accessories before use.
- Coordinate with lifting teams, riggers, crane operators, and site supervisors.
- Stop unsafe lifting activities and implement corrective actions when necessary.
🛡️ Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with QatarEnergy requirements and project HSE procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks and pre-lift safety briefings.
- Verify lifting permits, risk assessments, and method statements before work begins.
- Ensure lifting equipment and accessories have valid inspection and certification.
- Promote safe lifting practices and maintain a strong safety culture.
🤝 Team Coordination
- Liaise with construction, operations, and HSE teams to support project activities.
- Report lifting progress, incidents, and operational issues to project management.
- Mentor and guide riggers and lifting personnel.
- Ensure lifting documentation is accurately completed and maintained.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Diploma or relevant technical qualification is preferred.
Certifications
- QatarEnergy (QE) Approval – Mandatory
- Lifting Supervisor or equivalent lifting certification is preferred.
Experience
- Relevant experience as a Lifting Supervisor.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, or Heavy Industrial Projects is preferred.
- Immediate availability to join is highly desirable.
