Job Description/Specification:
A leading engineering and construction company in Qatar is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure to lead the successful delivery of major infrastructure and utility projects. This role is responsible for managing all phases of project execution, ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with client specifications and local authority requirements.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing roads, highways, utility networks, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, potable water, and underground infrastructure projects, with strong leadership skills and proven experience coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
About This Role
As the Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure, you will oversee project planning, construction, resource management, quality assurance, and stakeholder coordination. You will play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with Qatar's engineering standards, HSE regulations, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
🚧 Project Management
- Manage the end-to-end execution of civil infrastructure and utility projects.
- Plan, monitor, and control project schedules, budgets, resources, and project deliverables.
- Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Resolve technical, contractual, and operational issues throughout project execution.
🏗️ Infrastructure & Utility Works
- Manage projects involving roads, highways, and utility infrastructure.
- Oversee utility diversion, deep utility installation, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, potable water, and electrical & telecom duct bank works.
- Ensure proper execution of utility corridors, road reinstatement, and traffic management activities.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure timely project completion.
🤝 Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Liaise with government authorities to obtain approvals and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Attend progress meetings and prepare project status reports.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
🛡️ Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and project management standards.
- Promote a strong HSE culture across project teams.
- Monitor project risks and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure all activities comply with local authority regulations and contractual obligations.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Certifications
- UPDA Certification (Required)
- PMP Certification (Required)
Experience
- 10–15 years of experience managing civil infrastructure projects.
