We are seeking a licensed and patient-focused Pharmacist to join a healthcare team in Qatar. About This Role
The Pharmacist will play a key role in ensuring patients receive the correct medications, dosage instructions, and pharmaceutical advice while maintaining compliance with Qatar's healthcare regulations and professional standards. Key Responsibilities
💊 Medication Dispensing & Pharmaceutical Care
- Accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with physician prescriptions and regulatory requirements.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage accuracy, drug interactions, contraindications, and patient safety.
- Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, storage, side effects, and precautions.
- Provide professional pharmaceutical advice to support safe and effective treatment.
- Promote rational drug use and medication adherence.
👩⚕️ Patient Care & Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and healthcare products.
- Support patients in understanding treatment plans and medication compliance.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Build positive relationships with patients and healthcare providers.
📦 Inventory & Pharmacy Operations
- Monitor medication stock levels and maintain optimal inventory.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals according to manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage expired, damaged, or recalled medications following established procedures.
- Assist in procurement, stock rotation, and inventory reconciliation.
- Maintain an organized and compliant pharmacy environment.
📋 Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate dispensing records and pharmacy documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) regulations and Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) standards.
- Adhere to pharmacy policies, standard operating procedures, and ethical practices.
- Participate in internal audits and quality assurance initiatives.
- Protect patient confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations.
🤝 Team Collaboration
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the pharmacy.
- Assist in mentoring junior pharmacy staff and pharmacy assistants when required.
- Participate in training and professional development activities.
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) is an advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in a retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy setting.
- Experience in Qatar or the GCC healthcare sector is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient counselling.
Licensing
- Valid QCHP Pharmacist License is mandatory.
