Job Description/Specification:
Raffles & Fairmont Doha, located within the iconic Katara Towers, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join its luxury hospitality team. This full-time opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about garment care, cleanliness, and delivering exceptional guest service in a world-class hotel environment.
As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the impeccable quality of hotel linens, uniforms, and guest garments. Working closely with the Housekeeping and Laundry teams, you will ensure every item is cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest luxury hospitality standards while contributing to an outstanding guest experience.
About This Role
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating laundry equipment, processing hotel and guest laundry, maintaining cleanliness within the laundry facility, and ensuring timely, accurate, and professional laundry services. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding the service excellence associated with the Raffles and Fairmont brands.
Key Responsibilities
🧺 Laundry Operations
- Operate washing machines, dryers, ironing equipment, and pressing machines safely and efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, press, and organize hotel linens, uniforms, and guest garments.
- Follow proper fabric care procedures to maintain garment quality and longevity.
- Ensure all laundry items meet luxury hotel presentation standards before delivery.
- Process guest laundry requests accurately and within established turnaround times.
👔 Garment Care & Quality Control
- Inspect linens, uniforms, and guest clothing for stains, damage, or wear before and after processing.
- Apply appropriate stain removal techniques and fabric care methods.
- Report damaged items or maintenance concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Ensure garments are neatly pressed, folded, and packaged according to hotel standards.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and quality control.
🏨 Housekeeping & Operational Support
- Coordinate closely with the Housekeeping department to support daily operational requirements.
- Organize and store clean linens, uniforms, and laundry supplies efficiently.
- Assist with inventory monitoring and report shortages of chemicals, linens, uniforms, or laundry supplies.
- Maintain accurate handling of guest laundry records where required.
- Support smooth day-to-day laundry operations during peak periods.
🧼 Hygiene, Safety & Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room, storage areas, and workstations.
- Handle laundry chemicals safely in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Follow hygiene, sanitation, and environmental standards at all times.
- Perform basic cleaning and routine care of laundry equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance requirements promptly.

- Handle guest laundry requests courteously, professionally, and confidentially.
- Protect guest privacy and ensure all personal belongings are handled with care.
- Respond positively to guest inquiries and special laundry requests.

Minimum Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in Laundry Operations, Housekeeping, or a similar hospitality role is preferred.
- Experience in a luxury hotel environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of commercial laundry operations and garment care is desirable.
