Hilton is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Group, Conference & Events (GCE) Executive to join its hospitality sales team in Qatar. This role is ideal for professionals who excel at building client relationships, converting enquiries into confirmed bookings, and delivering exceptional event experiences that drive business growth and guest satisfaction.
As a GCE Executive, you will manage group, conference, and event enquiries from initial contact through to booking confirmation, while collaborating with hotel operations teams to ensure seamless event execution. Your ability to maximize revenue through strategic sales, upselling, and outstanding customer service will contribute directly to Hilton's continued success.
About This Role
The Group, Conference & Events Executive is responsible for converting leads into bookings, managing event sales opportunities, coordinating client requirements, and ensuring every event is successfully planned and handed over for flawless delivery. This role combines hospitality, sales, relationship management, and event coordination to create memorable guest experiences while achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
📞 Sales & Business Development
- Respond promptly to group, conference, and event enquiries.
- Convert qualified leads into confirmed bookings to achieve sales targets.
- Identify upselling opportunities to maximize revenue.
- Promote hotel event facilities and hospitality services.
- Support hotel marketing and promotional campaigns to increase GCE business.
🤝 Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and individual clients.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable event solutions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
- Encourage repeat business and long-term client partnerships.
- Handle client enquiries professionally and efficiently.
📅 Event Coordination & Planning
- Manage the events calendar to optimize meeting space utilization.
- Coordinate event requirements with internal departments.
- Ensure all booking information and event documentation are accurate.
- Facilitate smooth handovers to hotel operations teams for event execution.
- Monitor booking schedules and event timelines.
🏨 Hotel Tours & Event Promotion
- Conduct hotel site inspections and property tours for prospective clients.
- Showcase meeting rooms, event venues, and hotel facilities.
- Present tailored event solutions aligned with client expectations.
- Promote Hilton's conference, meeting, and banquet offerings.
📊 Administration & Revenue Support
- Maintain accurate booking records and client databases.
- Prepare quotations, contracts, and event documentation.
- Track sales activities, conversion rates, and revenue performance.
- Ensure compliance with Hilton sales procedures and quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel sales, conference and events, reservations, hospitality, or customer service is preferred.
- Experience working in international or luxury hotels is an advantage.
