We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Technician – Quality Controller to ensure all vehicles meet the highest quality, safety, and manufacturer standards before customer delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting final vehicle inspections, verifying repair quality, performing road tests, identifying workmanship issues, and ensuring complete compliance with company policies and manufacturer specifications.

This role is ideal for experienced automotive professionals with strong diagnostic expertise, quality inspection skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

About This Role

As an Auto Technician – Quality Controller, you will perform comprehensive post-repair inspections, verify completed maintenance and repair work, conduct vehicle road tests, maintain quality documentation, and collaborate with workshop teams to ensure every vehicle is delivered in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

🚗 Vehicle Quality Inspection

  • Conduct final quality inspections on vehicles after maintenance and repair work.
  • Verify that all repairs have been completed according to job cards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Inspect mechanical, electrical, electronic, and safety systems before vehicle delivery.
  • Identify incomplete, incorrect, or substandard repairs and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure every vehicle meets company quality standards prior to customer handover.

🔧 Technical Evaluation & Diagnostics

  • Perform road tests to verify repair quality and overall vehicle performance.
  • Utilize automotive diagnostic tools and testing equipment to assess vehicle systems.
  • Evaluate engine, transmission, suspension, braking, steering, and electrical systems.
  • Review repair orders, technical manuals, and diagnostic reports to confirm repair accuracy.
  • Ensure manufacturer repair procedures and technical standards are followed.

📋 Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Monitor workshop quality standards and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Verify vehicle cleanliness, presentation, and readiness before delivery.
  • Support quality audits and maintain workshop quality assurance procedures.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and operational excellence within the workshop.

📝 Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate inspection records, quality control reports, and vehicle assessment documentation.
  • Record inspection findings and communicate quality issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Track recurring repair defects and recommend preventive solutions.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is completed accurately and on time.

🤝 Coordination & Customer Satisfaction

  • Collaborate with Service Advisors, Workshop Supervisors, and Technicians to resolve quality concerns.
  • Provide technical guidance regarding repair quality and workmanship.
  • Support smooth vehicle handover by ensuring customer expectations are met.
  • Contribute to improving workshop productivity and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Diploma or Technical Certification in Automotive Technology, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, Quality Controller, or Workshop Technician.
  • Experience in dealership, automotive service center, or authorized workshop environments is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-brand or manufacturer-authorized service operations is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Experience with vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding.
  • Ability to interpret repair orders, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent inspection and quality assurance skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Valid driving license.
