Job Description/Specification:
Park Hyatt Doha is seeking a meticulous and service-oriented Laundry Valet to join its luxury housekeeping and laundry team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest laundry services by handling garments with the highest level of care, operating laundry equipment safely, and ensuring every item is cleaned, pressed, and returned according to the hotel's five-star quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for cleanliness, strong attention to detail, and experience in laundry operations within a luxury hospitality environment.
About This Role
As a Laundry Valet, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, pressing, and delivering guest garments while ensuring proper fabric care, maintaining laundry equipment, and supporting the hotel's commitment to exceptional guest service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
👔 Guest Laundry Services
- Collect and process guest laundry, dry-cleaning, and pressing requests promptly and accurately.
- Verify laundry items against guest requests before processing.
- Ensure garments are returned to guests within the promised turnaround time.
- Handle guest clothing with the highest level of care and confidentiality.
- Deliver professionally pressed and neatly presented garments to guest rooms.
🧺 Laundry Operations
- Sort laundry according to fabric type, color, and washing instructions.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, steamers, pressing machines, and other laundry equipment safely.
- Follow garment care labels and hotel laundry procedures.
- Perform stain treatment and fabric care using approved methods.
- Fold, hang, package, and organize cleaned garments according to hotel standards.
✨ Quality Assurance
- Inspect garments before and after laundering for stains, damage, missing buttons, or defects.
- Ensure all laundry meets Park Hyatt Doha's luxury quality standards before delivery.
- Minimize garment damage through proper handling and processing techniques.
- Report damaged garments or discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
🛠️ Equipment & Workplace Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry work area.
- Clean and inspect laundry equipment regularly.
- Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Ensure laundry supplies and chemicals are stored safely and correctly.
🛡️ Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow hotel health, hygiene, and safety standards at all times.
- Handle laundry chemicals and cleaning agents according to safety guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with hotel policies and standard operating procedures.
- Support environmental sustainability by minimizing water, energy, and detergent waste.
🤝 Teamwork & Guest Service
- Collaborate with Housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and special laundry instructions.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
- Contribute to creating exceptional guest experiences through outstanding laundry service.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Laundry Valet, Laundry Attendant, Laundry Operator, or Housekeeping Attendant is preferred.
- Experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or hospitality environments is an advantage.

- Knowledge of garment care, fabric types, and stain removal techniques.
