Job Description/Specification:
Al-Futtaim Retail is seeking a customer-focused and energetic Customer Service Associate to deliver exceptional shopping experiences while supporting daily retail operations. This role is responsible for assisting customers, maintaining store presentation, managing inventory, operating the cash register, and contributing to sales growth through effective product recommendations and outstanding customer service.
The ideal candidate will have previous retail or customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating positive customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.
About This Role
As a Customer Service Associate, you will provide outstanding customer service, maintain visual merchandising standards, support inventory management, process sales transactions, and contribute to achieving store sales and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
🛍️ Customer Service
- Welcome customers warmly and provide a friendly, professional shopping experience.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve basic concerns promptly.
- Escalate complex customer complaints to the appropriate team members.
- Build positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
💰 Sales & Product Promotion
- Achieve sales targets through effective upselling and cross-selling techniques.
- Promote new arrivals, promotions, and featured products.
- Maintain strong product knowledge to provide accurate recommendations.
- Assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
🏪 Visual Merchandising & Store Operations
- Maintain attractive product displays in line with company visual merchandising standards.
- Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked, clean, and organized.
- Keep the sales floor clean, safe, and visually appealing.
- Support promotional campaigns and seasonal merchandising activities.
📦 Stock Management & Inventory
- Receive, unpack, and organize incoming merchandise.
- Replenish stock and monitor product availability.
- Assist with stock counts, inventory checks, and stock movement.
- Report low stock levels and damaged merchandise to management.
💳 Cashiering & POS Operations
- Operate the cash register and Point of Sale (POS) system accurately.
- Process cash, card, and digital payment transactions.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies.
- Balance cash drawers and maintain an organized checkout area.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Diploma in Retail, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is an advantage.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales is preferred.
- Experience in fashion, lifestyle, department stores, or FMCG retail is an advantage.
