Job Description/Specification:
Mandarin Oriental, Doha is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join its Housekeeping team. This role is responsible for maintaining guest rooms to the highest luxury hospitality standards by ensuring exceptional cleanliness, hygiene, comfort, and presentation. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering the legendary service and personalized guest experiences that define the Mandarin Oriental brand.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in luxury hotel housekeeping, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining world-class cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
About This Role
As a Room Attendant, you will clean and maintain assigned guest rooms, replenish amenities, handle linens, ensure housekeeping standards are consistently met, and support the Housekeeping Department in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
🛏️ Guest Room Cleaning
- Clean occupied and vacant guest rooms according to Mandarin Oriental luxury standards.
- Make beds and arrange guestrooms to meet established presentation standards.
- Dust, vacuum, clean furniture, mirrors, windows, and all room surfaces.
- Ensure guest rooms remain spotless, organized, and ready for occupancy.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
🛁 Bathroom Cleaning & Hygiene
- Thoroughly clean bathrooms, bathtubs, showers, sinks, toilets, mirrors, and walls.
- Use approved cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
- Dry and polish bathroom fixtures and surfaces after cleaning.
- Ensure bathrooms meet luxury hotel hygiene standards.
🧴 Linen & Amenities Management
- Remove used linen and towels and coordinate with Housemen or Linen Services.
- Replenish towels, toiletries, guest amenities, and hospitality items.
- Arrange guest belongings respectfully in occupied rooms according to hotel standards.
- Maintain linen quality and report damaged items when necessary.
🏨 Housekeeping Operations
- Remove room service trays from guest corridors and arrange collection.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned corridors and work areas.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or lost and found items promptly.
- Support housekeeping operations during busy periods when required.
🛡️ Health, Safety & Quality
- Follow hotel housekeeping procedures and luxury cleanliness standards.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
- Protect guest privacy and maintain room security at all times.
- Comply with health, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
- Ensure all assigned work areas remain free from debris and hazards.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Senior School Certificate or equivalent (mandatory).
- Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or Business Management is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a 5-star luxury hotel environment.
- Previous experience with luxury hospitality brands is highly preferred.

- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, linen management, and housekeeping machinery.
