Job Description/Specification:
Alwadi Hotel Doha – MGallery Collection by Accor is seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join its Food & Beverage team. This role is responsible for crafting exceptional coffee and tea beverages while delivering outstanding guest experiences across the hotel's restaurants, cafés, banquets, and special events. The Barista plays a key role in maintaining beverage quality, operational efficiency, and Accor's renowned hospitality standards.
The ideal candidate has previous barista experience in a hotel, café, or fine dining environment, with a passion for specialty coffee, beverage presentation, and customer service excellence.
About This Role
As a Barista, you will prepare and serve premium coffee and tea beverages, maintain café equipment, uphold food safety standards, collaborate with the Food & Beverage team, and create memorable experiences through exceptional beverage craftsmanship and personalized guest service.
Key Responsibilities
☕ Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha, and signature drinks.
- Ensure consistency in beverage taste, presentation, and quality.
- Follow standardized recipes while contributing creative beverage ideas.
- Prepare mise en place to support efficient service during busy periods.
⭐ Guest Service
- Deliver warm, professional, and personalized service to every guest.
- Recommend beverages based on guest preferences.
- Handle special requests, dietary requirements, and customer feedback professionally.
- Create memorable guest experiences through exceptional hospitality.
🛠️ Café Operations
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewing equipment, and café tools.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance requirements promptly.
- Ensure beverage stations remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Support efficient café operations during breakfast, à la carte service, banquets, and special events.
🤝 Team Collaboration
- Work closely with restaurant, kitchen, banquet, and service teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Support colleagues during peak service periods.
- Maintain effective communication across departments to deliver excellent guest experiences.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and service-oriented team culture.
🧼 Food Safety & Hygiene
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and beverages.
- Maintain professional grooming and appearance in accordance with hotel standards.
📚 Continuous Learning
- Stay updated on coffee brewing techniques, beverage trends, and café innovations.
- Participate in training programs and skill development initiatives.
- Continuously improve coffee knowledge and customer service skills.
- Support menu innovation under the guidance of senior team members.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or Barista Training is preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista in a hotel, café, coffee shop, or fine dining environment.
- Experience in luxury hospitality or international hotel brands is an advantage.
