A reputable organization is seeking a dedicated and reliable Gardener / Landscaper to maintain and enhance gardens, lawns, landscaped areas, and outdoor spaces. This role is responsible for ensuring landscapes remain healthy, visually appealing, and well-maintained through routine gardening, irrigation management, and landscape maintenance activities.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience in gardening, plant care, lawn maintenance, irrigation systems, and landscaping, with the ability to work efficiently in outdoor environments while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
About This Role
As a Gardener / Landscaper, you will maintain gardens and green spaces, care for plants and trees, operate landscaping equipment, monitor irrigation systems, and contribute to landscape improvement projects while ensuring attractive and safe outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
🌿 Garden & Landscape Maintenance
- Maintain gardens, lawns, shrubs, trees, and landscaped areas.
- Perform planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, trimming, and mulching activities.
- Maintain healthy plant growth and attractive outdoor environments.
- Support seasonal planting and landscape enhancement projects.
🌱 Plant Health & Care
- Monitor plants for diseases, pests, and weeds.
- Apply appropriate treatments and preventive measures.
- Ensure proper nutrition and watering schedules for plants and lawns.
- Recommend improvements to enhance landscape quality.
🚿 Irrigation & Lawn Maintenance
- Inspect, monitor, and maintain irrigation systems.
- Mow lawns, edge grass, and maintain turf to a high standard.
- Adjust irrigation schedules based on weather and seasonal requirements.
- Report irrigation faults or maintenance issues promptly.
🛠️ Equipment & Safety
- Operate and maintain gardening and landscaping equipment safely.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow company health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High school education or equivalent is preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Gardener, Landscaper, or in a similar horticulture or grounds maintenance role.
- Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, or facilities management environments is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Good knowledge of plants, flowers, trees, and gardening techniques.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and landscape maintenance.
- Ability to operate gardening equipment safely.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
