Job Description/Specification:
DHL Global Forwarding (DGF), a division of the world's leading logistics company, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join its operations team in Doha, Qatar. This role is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order picking, packing, dispatch, and material handling while ensuring compliance with DHL's quality, safety, and operational standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and workplace safety.
About This Role
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will receive and inspect inbound shipments, manage inventory, perform picking and packing activities, prepare orders for dispatch, and ensure accurate warehouse operations while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
📦 Receiving & Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and record inbound shipments using RF scanning devices.
- Verify quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates, and shipment accuracy.
- Report damaged, missing, or defective items to supervisors.
- Perform put-away activities and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Process returned goods and coordinate documentation with Customer Service.
🚜 Material Handling
- Operate material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently.
- Read work orders and verify materials before processing.
- Perform palletizing, stretch wrapping, segregation, and value-added services.
- Maintain warehouse stock organization and product availability.
- Report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or batch variances.
📋 Order Picking & Shipping
- Pick orders accurately according to pick tickets.
- Conduct quality checks before packing and shipping.
- Prepare temperature-sensitive shipments according to customer specifications.
- Optimize truck loading while following safety procedures.
- Complete assigned warehouse tasks within required timelines.
📦 Packaging & Dispatch
- Pack and label shipments according to customer and DHL requirements.
- Verify shipment quantities and packaging accuracy.
- Segregate deliveries based on destination and transport requirements.
- Monitor packing material inventory and report replenishment needs.
- Support dispatch operations to ensure timely customer deliveries.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Less than 2 years of warehouse, logistics, freight, or distribution experience.
- Fresh candidates with warehouse knowledge are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
