Job Description/Specification:
A JW Marriott Hotel, part of Marriott International, is seeking a friendly and customer-focused Host/Hostess to join its Food & Beverage team in Doha, Qatar. As the first point of contact for restaurant guests, you will create a warm welcome, manage seating arrangements, and ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience.
This role is ideal for individuals with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for hospitality and customer service.
About This Role
As a Host/Hostess, you will welcome guests, manage restaurant seating, coordinate table assignments, maintain dining area standards, and support the restaurant team in delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
๐ฝ๏ธ Guest Reception
- Welcome guests warmly and determine seating requirements.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Manage seating arrangements to maximize dining efficiency.
- Provide assistance to guests throughout their dining experience.
๐ช Dining Room Operations
- Prepare and organize tables before guest arrival.
- Ensure place settings, menus, and dining areas meet hotel standards.
- Monitor table availability and coordinate seating efficiently.
- Rearrange tables and seating for groups or special occasions.
๐ค Guest Experience
- Respond to guest inquiries and special requests professionally.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere throughout the restaurant.
- Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth guest service.
- Support the team in delivering exceptional hospitality.
๐งน Quality & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness of reception and dining areas.
- Follow hotel hygiene, safety, and security procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Marriott service standards.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience is an advantage.
- Fresh candidates with excellent customer service skills are encouraged to apply.
