Seib Insurance and Reinsurance – Qatar is seeking a motivated and results-driven Telemarketing Officer to join its growing Retail team. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities, converting prospective customers into clients, achieving sales targets, and supporting the growth of the company's retail insurance portfolio through proactive outbound sales and customer engagement.

The successful candidate will manage the complete sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation to closing sales and maintaining customer relationships. About This Role

As a Telemarketing Officer, you will promote insurance products and services, identify customer needs, handle inquiries and objections, generate referrals, and ensure customers receive suitable insurance solutions. You will also maintain accurate customer records, conduct follow-up activities, support sales campaigns, and contribute to business growth through cross-selling, upselling, and customer retention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound telemarketing activities.
  • Promote and explain insurance products and services to prospective customers.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Manage the complete sales process from lead generation to policy conversion.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Customer Relationship Management

  • Respond professionally to customer inquiries and provide accurate product information.
  • Handle customer objections and negotiate effectively to close sales.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with prospective customers to maximize conversion opportunities.
  • Build long-term customer relationships to improve retention and repeat business.
  • Ensure solutions remain appropriate through ongoing customer engagement and reviews.

Lead Generation & Portfolio Growth

  • Generate referrals and identify new sales opportunities through existing and prospective customers.
  • Support the expansion of the retail insurance portfolio.
  • Participate in cross-selling and upselling initiatives to maximize customer value.
  • Monitor market opportunities and contribute to business growth strategies.

Sales Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate customer records and update CRM databases.
  • Record all customer interactions, sales activities, and telemarketing outcomes.
  • Manage sales pipelines and monitor lead progression.
  • Support campaign management, competitive tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction and service feedback surveys when required.

Professional Development & Compliance

  • Continuously improve technical knowledge of insurance products and industry developments.
  • Maintain high standards of verbal and written communication.
  • Ensure ethical selling practices and compliance with company policies.
  • Deliver professional customer service while protecting the company's reputation.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Insurance, Finance, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in telemarketing, sales, customer service, or business development.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business development objectives.
  • Experience within the insurance, banking, financial services, or customer-facing industries is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Qatari travel agency market or established industry contacts is considered an advantage.
