QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa (MEA), is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President – Central Operations Relationship Management to support the implementation of the Group's Target Operating Model (TOM) across its international branches and subsidiaries. This strategic role is responsible for driving operational excellence, governance, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cross-border operational initiatives that strengthen QNB's global banking network.

The successful candidate will collaborate with international branches, corporate departments, and senior leadership to implement new products, optimize operational processes, coordinate strategic projects, and ensure compliance with global banking regulations and internal governance standards. About This Role

As the Assistant Vice President – Central Operations Relationship Management, you will oversee the implementation of operational frameworks, governance standards, quality assurance initiatives, and international banking projects across QNB's global operations. You will provide operational guidance to international branches, monitor regulatory compliance, coordinate system and product implementations, and drive continuous process improvement while supporting the Group's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Governance & Target Operating Model (TOM)

  • Support the implementation of the Group's Target Operating Model (TOM) across international branches and subsidiaries.
  • Conduct operational assessments, gap analyses, and governance reviews.
  • Support the implementation of operational governance frameworks and quality assurance standards.
  • Review and improve operational policies, procedures, and business processes.
  • Monitor branch operational performance and ensure alignment with Group standards.

International Operations Management

  • Coordinate operational support for international branches throughout implementation and business expansion initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on operational procedures, product implementation, and process standardization.
  • Collect and evaluate country-specific operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly operational reporting from international branches.
  • Conduct periodic visits to international branches to assess operational performance and compliance.

Project Management & Business Transformation

  • Coordinate international banking projects, including new product launches, system implementations, acquisitions, and operational enhancements.
  • Support efficiency improvement, process optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement operational improvements across the international banking network.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure successful implementation of corporate initiatives.

Compliance, Risk & Quality Assurance

  • Support the implementation of quality assurance frameworks across designated countries.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance and escalate issues to Group Compliance where required.
  • Coordinate responses to internal and external audit findings and ensure timely closure of recommendations.
  • Support operational risk management activities, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), incident reporting, and remediation.
  • Ensure compliance with AML, CTF, sanctions, data protection, fraud prevention, and other regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build strong working relationships with internal departments, international branches, regulators, and business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide operational guidance, mentoring, and support to branch management and project teams.
  • Prepare operational reports, business documentation, and management presentations.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Master's Degree is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of banking operations experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing international banking operations.
  • Extensive experience in electronic banking, banking operations, and operational governance.
  • Experience implementing operational transformation projects across international banking environments.
  • Proven experience in compliance management, quality assurance, and regulatory implementation.
  • Experience developing business requirements, operational procedures, and governance documentation.
