Job Description/Specification:
A prestigious Family Office based in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Investment Origination Manager to identify, develop, and secure high-value investment opportunities across a diversified portfolio. The role focuses on building strategic relationships, originating proprietary deals, and expanding the organization's investment pipeline across sectors including real estate, venture capital, private equity, and strategic investments.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving investment growth by leveraging an established professional network, conducting market intelligence, supporting investment evaluations, and representing the family office in regional and international markets. This position is well suited for professionals with a strong background in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or investment management.
About This Role
As an Investment Origination Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and developing investment opportunities, building relationships with founders, investors, advisors, and intermediaries, and supporting the investment team throughout the evaluation and due diligence process. You will represent the family office at industry events and maintain a strong pipeline of high-quality investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Origination
- Source and originate proprietary investment opportunities across multiple sectors.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential investments.
- Identify emerging investment trends and attractive market opportunities.
- Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to support investment sourcing.
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Develop and strengthen relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, investors, advisors, and intermediaries.
- Build strategic partnerships to enhance deal flow.
- Expand the family office's professional network locally and internationally.
- Represent the organization at conferences, networking events, and industry forums.
Investment Evaluation
- Support preliminary investment assessments and opportunity screening.
- Assist with due diligence activities during investment evaluations.
- Collaborate with internal investment teams to assess commercial viability and strategic fit.
- Provide market insights to support investment decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with investment partners, advisors, and consultants throughout the transaction process.
- Support negotiations and relationship management during investment discussions.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Investment Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional finance or investment qualifications are an advantage.
Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, family offices, investment management, or corporate development.
- Proven experience in investment sourcing, deal origination, and business development.
- Experience building relationships with investors, founders, and strategic partners.
- International investment experience is highly desirable.
- Experience within Qatar or the GCC market is an advantage.
