Job Description/Specification:
A leading organization in Doha, Qatar is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join its Flow Products Division. This role is ideal for engineering professionals with a strong background in the sales of industrial flow products, particularly pumps and valves, who are passionate about delivering technical solutions and building long-term customer relationships.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new sales opportunities, managing key customer accounts, preparing technical proposals, and providing application-based solutions for industrial clients. Working closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams, you will play a key role in achieving sales targets and expanding the company's presence in the industrial market.
About This Role
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will promote and sell industrial flow products by understanding customer requirements, recommending suitable solutions, and managing the sales process from initial inquiry through contract award. You will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver value-added solutions and contribute to the continued growth of the Flow Products Division.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the industrial sector.
- Expand sales of pumps, valves, and other flow products.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Technical Sales
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, technical meetings, and customer demonstrations.
- Provide technical support throughout the sales process.
- Promote the company's flow product portfolio to industrial clients.
Commercial Activities
- Prepare technical proposals, commercial quotations, and tender submissions.
- Negotiate commercial terms with customers.
- Support contract negotiations and order finalization.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support customers throughout project execution.
- Ensure customer requirements are effectively communicated internally.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience
- 2–8 years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering.
- Proven experience selling industrial flow products, particularly pumps and valves.
- Experience working with industrial customers in sectors such as oil & gas, water treatment, manufacturing, utilities, or process industries is preferred.
