Job Description/Specification:
A leading organization in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced ICT Governance & Change Management Specialist for a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is responsible for governing the technology change management lifecycle, ensuring all IT changes are implemented in a controlled, compliant, and business-focused manner.
The successful candidate will oversee change governance, facilitate approval processes, manage Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities, and ensure technology initiatives minimize operational risk while supporting business objectives.
About This Role
As an ICT Governance & Change Management Specialist, you will establish and maintain IT governance practices, manage technology change processes, assess risks, and ensure successful implementation of IT changes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
🔄 Change Management
- Lead the end-to-end technology change management lifecycle.
- Review, assess, and approve change requests based on risk and business impact.
- Oversee implementation schedules, rollback plans, and post-implementation reviews.
📋 Governance & Compliance
- Develop and enforce ICT governance policies, standards, and frameworks.
- Ensure technology changes comply with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain structured approval processes and governance documentation.
👥 Stakeholder Coordination
- Organize and facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
- Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders throughout the change process.
- Ensure technology initiatives align with business objectives.
📊 Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor change success rates and performance metrics.
- Prepare governance reports and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improve change management processes.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ICT operations, IT governance, change management, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and change management best practices.
- Experience with governance frameworks and structured approval processes.
- Excellent analytical, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- ITIL, COBIT, or similar certifications are an advantage.
