Job Description/Specification:
A growing organization in Qatar is seeking a results-driven Business Development Engineer to expand its presence within the Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, and Marine sectors. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong industry network, solid understanding of the EPC procurement process, and proven experience working with major energy companies and contractors in Qatar.
About This Role
As a Business Development Engineer, you will identify new business opportunities, manage key client relationships, monitor market trends and tenders, and contribute to achieving the company's sales and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
📈 Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Generate leads and expand the customer portfolio.
- Achieve sales and revenue growth targets.
🤝 Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
- Prepare proposals and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Deliver excellent customer support throughout the sales cycle.
📋 Tender & Market Analysis
- Monitor tenders and upcoming project opportunities.
- Track market trends and competitor activities.
- Support bid preparation and business development strategies.
⚙️ Sales & Commercial Support
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver customer requirements.
- Promote engineering solutions aligned with client needs.
- Maintain accurate sales and opportunity records.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Experience
- 5–6 years of business development or sales experience.
- Experience within Qatar's Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, or Marine industries.
- Strong network with QatarEnergy, QatarEnergy LNG, EPC contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Good understanding of Qatar's EPC procurement process.
