Job Description/Specification:
The Ritz-Carlton Doha is seeking dedicated and hardworking Utility Cleaners to support the hotel's Food & Beverage, Kitchen, and Laundry operations. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and operational efficiency across various hotel departments.
Whether cleaning kitchen equipment, operating dishwashing machines, handling linens, or supporting daily housekeeping operations, Utility Cleaners play a vital role in delivering the exceptional luxury experience that The Ritz-Carlton is known for.
About This Role
As a Utility Cleaner, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment while supporting multiple operational departments. You will be responsible for cleaning kitchen equipment, washing dishes and utensils, handling linens, operating cleaning machinery, and ensuring all work areas comply with Marriott's health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
🧹 Cleaning & Sanitation
✅ Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, cookware, and food preparation areas.
✅ Maintain cleanliness across kitchens, food & beverage outlets, laundry, and service areas.
✅ Follow hygiene and sanitation standards at all times.
🍽 Kitchen & Stewarding Support
✅ Operate dishwashing machines and hand-wash stations.
✅ Wash, sort, and organize dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment.
✅ Assist kitchen and stewarding teams with daily operational requirements.
🧺 Laundry & Linen Operations
✅ Operate linen washers and dryers.
✅ Prepare, fold, organize, and transport clean linens throughout the hotel.
✅ Maintain linen quality and proper storage procedures.
⚙ Equipment Handling
✅ Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools safely.
✅ Report equipment faults or maintenance issues to supervisors.
✅ Follow proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
🤝 Team Support
✅ Collaborate with Kitchen, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Laundry teams.
✅ Support operational requirements across multiple hotel departments.
✅ Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Minimum Requirements
🎓 Education
- No formal education is required.
- Basic literacy is considered an advantage.
💼 Experience
- Previous cleaning, stewarding, housekeeping, kitchen utility, or hotel experience is an advantage.
