Pool Life Guard

JW Marriott Doha is seeking a vigilant and guest-focused Recreation Attendant / Lifeguard to ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of guests using the hotel's swimming pool and recreational facilities. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, guest safety, and creating exceptional leisure experiences in a luxury hotel environment.

The successful candidate will monitor pool activities, respond to emergencies, enforce safety regulations, and maintain a clean and welcoming recreation area while delivering Marriott's world-class service standards.

About This Role

As a Recreation Attendant / Lifeguard, you will play a critical role in ensuring guest safety while promoting a fun, relaxing, and secure environment. You will actively monitor pool activities, perform rescue operations when required, provide first aid assistance, and maintain cleanliness across recreation facilities.

Key Responsibilities

🏊 Pool Safety & Lifeguarding

✅ Monitor swimming pools and recreation areas to ensure guest safety.

✅ Respond immediately using appropriate rescue techniques when assistance is required.

✅ Identify unsafe conditions and report hazards promptly.

✅ Enforce pool rules, safety regulations, and facility policies.

🚑 Emergency Response

✅ Provide First Aid and CPR assistance until emergency medical services arrive.

✅ Respond professionally to accidents, injuries, and emergency situations.

✅ Complete incident reports accurately and promptly.

🌟 Guest Service

✅ Welcome guests with professionalism and a friendly attitude.

✅ Promote a safe, fun, and relaxing recreational environment.

✅ Assist guests with towels and recreation facility needs.

✅ Answer guest questions and provide excellent customer service.

🧹 Facility Maintenance

✅ Maintain cleanliness of swimming pools, pool decks, and surrounding recreation areas.

✅ Wash, mop, organize, fold, and replenish towels.

✅ Inspect equipment and report maintenance requirements.

🤝 Team Collaboration

✅ Work closely with Recreation, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Security teams.

✅ Follow Marriott safety, hygiene, and operational standards.

✅ Support colleagues to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Minimum Requirements

🎓 Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

💼 Experience

• Previous lifeguard or recreation experience is an advantage.
• Fresh candidates with the required certifications are encouraged to apply.

• ✅ CPR Certification
• ✅ First Aid Certification
• ✅ Lifeguard Certification (where required by local authorities)
