Job Description/Specification:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our growing team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings while working closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure project requirements are met.
This is an excellent opportunity for drafting professionals with construction or consulting experience who are proficient in AutoCAD and passionate about delivering high-quality technical documentation.
About This Role
As a Draftsman, you will support engineering and construction projects by producing precise technical drawings, managing drawing revisions, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle, from design development to project completion.
Key Responsibilities
📐 Technical Drafting
✅ Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts, plans, shop drawings, and construction documentation.
✅ Develop drawings based on engineering and architectural designs.
✅ Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards.
📝 Drawing Management
✅ Revise and update drawings based on consultant comments, design modifications, and site requirements.
✅ Maintain accurate records of drawing revisions and document control.
✅ Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
🤝 Project Coordination
✅ Coordinate with engineers, architects, consultants, and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
✅ Support project execution by providing timely drafting updates.
✅ Assist in resolving drawing-related technical issues.
📂 Documentation & Quality
✅ Organize and maintain drawing files and project documentation.
✅ Ensure all submissions are complete, accurate, and delivered within project deadlines.
✅ Follow company drafting standards and quality procedures.
Minimum Requirements
🎓 Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
💼 Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Draftsman.
- Experience with construction companies or engineering consulting firms is preferred.
- Previous experience working on projects in Qatar or the GCC is an advantage.
