Job Description/Specification:
The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is seeking an accomplished Academic Leader to provide strategic leadership and drive academic excellence across its Engineering, Information Technology, and Computing disciplines. This senior leadership opportunity is ideal for experienced higher education professionals with a strong background in academic management, innovation, research, and institutional development.
The successful candidate will lead complex academic operations, promote excellence in teaching and learning, strengthen research and industry partnerships, and support the University's mission of advancing applied education in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
About This Role
As a senior academic leader, you will be responsible for shaping academic strategy, enhancing educational quality, supporting faculty development, and ensuring compliance with international higher education standards and accreditation requirements. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster innovation, research excellence, and strong industry engagement.
This role requires visionary leadership, extensive higher education experience, and a commitment to delivering outstanding student-centered learning outcomes.

✅ Provide strategic leadership for academic programs and institutional initiatives.

📚 Faculty & Student Success
✅ Support faculty development, mentoring, and performance excellence.

✅ Encourage innovative teaching methodologies and technology-enhanced learning.
🔬 Research & Industry Engagement
✅ Promote applied research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
✅ Strengthen partnerships with industry, government, and academic institutions.

📋 Quality Assurance & Accreditation
✅ Ensure compliance with international accreditation standards and quality frameworks.
✅ Lead academic reviews and institutional performance improvement initiatives.
✅ Support the achievement of strategic academic objectives.
🤝 Strategic Collaboration
✅ Collaborate with university leadership, faculty, students, and external stakeholders.
✅ Represent the University in academic, professional, and industry forums.

Minimum Requirements
🎓 Education
- PhD from an accredited institution in one of the following disciplines:
- Engineering
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Or a closely related field
💼 Experience
- Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in higher education.
- Proven experience leading academic operations within internationally recognized universities.
- Strong experience in academic quality assurance, accreditation, and institutional development.
- Experience working in multicultural academic environments is highly desirable.
