Job Description/Specification:
Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara is seeking an experienced and service-driven Duty Manager to join its Front Office team. This is an excellent opportunity for hospitality professionals with supervisory experience in luxury hotels who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and leading high-performing teams.
The successful candidate will oversee daily hotel operations, manage guest relations, supervise front office teams, and ensure the highest standards of luxury hospitality are consistently maintained.
About This Role
As a Duty Manager, you will act as the hotel's operational leader during your shift, ensuring seamless coordination across departments while delivering personalized service to every guest. You will handle VIP guest experiences, resolve escalated concerns, support team development, and maintain operational excellence in line with Anantara's world-class hospitality standards.
This role requires outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced luxury resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
🏨 Hotel Operations
✅ Oversee daily hotel operations and ensure smooth coordination across all departments.
✅ Supervise Front Office activities during assigned shifts, particularly during peak periods.
✅ Ensure compliance with hotel policies, operational procedures, and luxury service standards.
⭐ Guest Relations
✅ Act as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries, requests, and concerns.
✅ Handle escalated guest complaints professionally, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
✅ Deliver personalized experiences for VIP and high-profile guests.
👥 Team Leadership
✅ Lead, motivate, and support Front Office, Concierge, and Guest Services teams.
✅ Assist in training, mentoring, and developing team members.
✅ Foster a positive and guest-focused working environment.
📊 Operational Management
✅ Monitor guest satisfaction and recommend service improvements.
✅ Prepare shift reports and communicate operational updates to management.
✅ Ensure accurate guest account handling and adherence to financial procedures.
🤝 Cross-Department Collaboration
✅ Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and other departments.
✅ Ensure seamless communication to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Minimum Requirements
🎓 Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Tourism, or a related field.
💼 Experience
- Previous experience in supervisory Front Office roles within 4-star or 5-star hotels.
- Middle East hospitality experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in luxury resorts or international hotel brands is an advantage.
